With summer and the heat, everyone is trying to find a way to cool off and have fun.  That’s why swimming pools and waterparks are such popular destinations throughout the country.  Here are some of our favorite pools and waterparks near Houston, TX to beat the heat this summer.

There are multiple water slides that you will want to go on again and again.  Plus, there are water activities and structures for kids, a winding lazy river, an adventurous wave pool and slides for you to race your friends on mats.  And to really bring it all together, there are numerous events throughout the summer that add even more fun to your visit.

With fun themed events, super-fast water slides and plenty of areas for the smaller kids to have fun, this is a great place to take the family.  And when you get hungry from all the playing, stop by one of the delicious food stands for a great snack and tasty beverage.  Then lay out in the sun on one of the many lounge chairs as you digest your meal before jumping back into a pool.

It doesn’t matter your age or height, there is something for everyone here!  This waterpark is a popular choice for large groups and there are various special events that are sure to catch your eye.  Then, there are new rides and kids’ area in the park; so, you can bring the kids to their own special slides or jump on the FlowRider for a cool surfing experience. 

Big Rivers Waterpark with Gator Bayou Adventure Park 

Home of the largest lazy river in Texas, the tallest waves in Texas and even the biggest interactive play structure in Texas, there is no possibility of becoming bored while here.  With attractions still being built, only part of the park is open, along with Gator Bayou Adventure Park.  Be sure to check the website for ticket information.
