One grey color Nissan Maxima is running on the road.

Nissan Super Bowl Commercial Teases 2016 Nissan Maxima

Now that the Super Bowl is in the books, we’e done some parsing through the adertisements that make the game manageable to those among us who don’t much care for the Seahawks or the Patriots. Nissan certainly held its own in the commercial department, with the #WithDad campaign (that we mentioned last week) leading the way in the hearts of many. However, it was a quick plug toward the end of the commercial that truly had America talking. And that is because, of course, we caught a brief glimpse of the 2016 Nissan Maxima. Two seconds. We want more! First, a few words about the commercial itself, which gae everyone that was watching it a pretty serious case of the feels. It centers around a racecar-driing dad, whose job takes him away from his family during his son’s formatie years. Set to the plaintie tones of “Cats in the Cradle,” we see that, despite a relationship that is strained by time and distance, they are cut from the same identical-looking cloth, and that the son admires his dad’s greatness more than he resents him for it. And then, the Maxima brings the whole thing home. With the floating roof found that is shared with the 2015 Murano, the restyled 2016 Nissan Maxima brings terrific style to its “four-door sports car,” and it’s even more stirring than the spy shots we saw last month. Beyond that, we know…pretty much nothing else. The new Maxima is set to debut at the New York Auto Show in April, and we can probably count on getting more details in the coming weeks. Until then, however, we’ll have to just enjoy the slow trickle of pictures coming out of Nissan HQ. And, of course enjoy the commercial below.
