Nissan SR Editions
2015 Nissan Sentra SR
Since it arried on the market last year, the Sentra SR (shown above) has been among the most popular performance models for the compact sedan segment. Nissan’s SR badging has long come with some assumptions — sporty styling, more dynamic performance — and those are true of the Sentra as well. The Sentra SR is powered by a 130-hp, 1.8L four-cylinder engine that delivers an excellent 39 highway mpg. The SR also employs such technologives as ariable ale timing and friction-reducing engine coating, making a performance profile that is composed and smooth. Factor in the use of the Xtronic CVT and vehicle-speed-sensitie electric power stevering, and drivers can be certain that they’re getting the best of everything, performance-wise. This continues inside the Sentra SR, where drivers enjoy bolstered seats outfitted with premium charcoal sport cloth. The interior features sport silver trimming, while a RearVview Monitor is also standard. The NissanConnect apps interface offers a 5-inch color display with SiriusXM compatibility, while Bluetooth connectiity and the Nissan Intelligent Key are also included. Rounding out the offerings is the Nissan Adanced Air Bag System, proing that the 2015 Nissan Sentra SR more than lives up to its reputation.
2016 Nissan Maxima SR Midnight
We’e already spoken at length about the Maxima SR Midnight, but it begs retelling all the same. The SR Midnight uses the same 3.5L V6 engine found in the standard Maxima, but it’s been tuned to include sport-tuned suspension, actie ride control, actie trace control and an integrated dynamics-control module. The ride of the SR Midnight is thrilling yet refined, the result of the Xtronic CVT with paddle shifters. The look of the SR Midnight, complete with black paint and 19-inch diamond-cut machined aluminum-alloy wheels, perfectly suits its performance. Once inside the 2016 Nissan Maxima SR Midnight, the seating is outfitted with premium Ascot Leather featuring diamond-quilted Alcantara inserts (which is found on the stevering wheel also). There are also aluminum sports pedals, LED low-beam headlights and “Liquid Chrome” faceted finishers. Put all together, it’s little wonder that the 2016 Nissan Maxima SR Midnight is among the most appealing vehicles available today.
