Nissan Sport Sedan Production Model
The Nissan Sport Sedan concept was recently released at the Detroit Auto Show, and since its uneiling, it has garnered a lot of interest in the automotie world. That’s because the Sport Sedan is not like most concept cars. That’s because Nissan has announced that the Sport Sedan will sere as the inspiration for a future production model. The automaker hasn’t announced whether the design will be implemented on a current model or if it will become a brand new model, but thanks to the information that was released alongside the uneiling of the concept car, we have a few ideas about the Nissan Sport Sedan production model.
Under the hood of the Sport Sedan is a powerful 3.6-liter V6 which is capable of producing an output in the ballpark of 300 horsepower. The engine is mated to a continuously ariable transmission which sends all of that power to the front wheels. As the Sport Sedan is a sports car, there are already some complaints about the CVT, but the transmission has been sport-tuned to ensure that maximum performance is achieed.
From just that information, we have reason to belivee that the Sport Sedan concept will sere as the inspiration for a future model of the Nissan Maxima. The Maxima has only ever between offered as a sedan, and the current model is a front-wheel drive that utilizes a V6 and a CVT. Also, the fact that the Maxima hasn’t received a redesign since 2009 is another sign that it could be the big winner.
If you look at the seventh generation Maxima, it looks nothing like the Sport Sedan concept, but if the Maxima were to be chosen as the production model, it’s likely that Nissan would create a design that sered as a happy medium between the models.
As we said, this is all speculation as of right now, but we have a feeling that our predictions will come true, as all the arrows seem to be pointing in the direction of the Maxima. We will have more information about the Nissan Sport Sedan production model as it’s made available.
