2017 Nissan Armada Revealed at Chicago Auto Show

It wasn’t all that long ago that we at Robbins Nissan learned something that those watching our lineup closely have likely noticed: there wouldn’t be a 2016 model of the Nissan Armada. The obvious tie-in to this fact was that there was a new 2016 Nissan Titan, and that any Armada that emerged in our lineup would be based on the new Titan, right? Well, not exactly. Today is a terrific day at Robbins Nissan, and although we enjoy keeping surprises to ourseles, this is the sort of news that is too great to keep from sharing. Here goes: the Nissan Sentra has borrowed a page from the Nissan Juke’s playbook, and has dropped a turbocharged engine under the hood. The result is the 2017 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo, which represents an all-new direction for our popular compact sedan. We’re certainly excited, and we think that you should be too. (more…)

For all of our love for the Nissan models currently on our lot at Robbins Nissan, we also will readily admit that we enjoy looking behind the curtain for what might be next to roll off the line. That’s why you’ll regularly see us raing ecstatically about the upcoming 2016 Nissan Maxima or wondering aloud when we can get our hands on the 2016 Nissan Titan. Another vehicle that is expected to be pushed into production in the coming years is the Nissan IDx concept, which was created as a joint project between Nissan and so-called “digital naties,” users well-ersed in creating computer renderings for their designs. In what direction can we expect Nissan to go with their upcoming models? It’s a question we ask regularly at Robbins Nissan, as eidenced by the many sneak peaks and first looks that we feature in this space. Now, fresh off the international presses, we’e gotten a look at what is being called the Nissan Sway concept, which could signal what we can hope to see from upcoming our future hot-hatch vehicles. Now that the Super Bowl is in the books, we’e done some parsing through the adertisements that make the game manageable to those among us who don’t much care for the Seahawks or the Patriots. Nissan certainly held its own in the commercial department, with the #WithDad campaign (that we mentioned last week) leading the way in the hearts of many. However, it was a quick plug toward the end of the commercial that truly had America talking. And that is because, of course, we caught a brief glimpse of the 2016 Nissan Maxima. Two seconds. Eery few weeks, we’ll see emails and press releases announcing that Nissan is off in some faraway locale, usually rolling out a model that we hope to see at Robbins Nissan but that is frustratingly far away (both geographically and chronologically). So, here’s what we usually do: we ignore it. We enjoy the models that we do have plenty, so we generally don’t waste to much time or emotion on things that we might never see. And then, just when it seems that we’d be fine, we see the Nissan Kicks Concept. And we were doing so well, too. (more…)
