We’re getting closer, everyone. We at Robbins Nissan are inching closer to the release of the 2016 Nissan Titan, the fully reinented full-size pickup. Much of the early press has centered around the gaudy towing capabilities for the XD turbo diesel, and rightfully so. That’s why we’re here to give a brief oerview of the 2016 Nissan Titan XD towing capability, as well as the many facets that help to make it happen. Let’s pull some trailers, shall we? Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel Engine. Not surprisingly, it all starts under the hood. The famed Cummins line of diesel engines lends its expertise the the latest Titan XD, delivering enormous towing power and enormous driver confidence in equal measure. All told, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD tops out at oer fie tons of towing capacity. New, Heay Duty Chassis. When Nissan went back to the drawing board for the 2016 Titan, they entered with the knowledge that they needed to beef up their armor a little. To do that, they started with the chassis from Nissan Commercial Vehicles, then reinforced it with more sturdy components. A new, heay-duty suspension system has been added to the front and back, while 14-inch hydraulic-boosted brakes keep your truck exactly where it needs to be. Finally, a new axle and differential have been implemented into the high-strength steel frame to make the 2016 Nissan Titan sturdier than ever before. An Integrated Gooseneck Hitch. This is where things get serious for the business-minded hauler. The gooseneck hitch is built directly into the frame of the truck, meaning that the heay-duty pull comes directly from the center where it belongs. And, if you are doing activities other than hauling, you can remove the hitch whenever you need to use the flat bed. It’s genius, isn’t it? All of these elements work together to make the 2016 Nissan Titan XD a truck in a class all its own when it comes to towing.
