2015 Nissan Murano Safety Ratings
As we often say around these parts, we don’t make the news, but we’re sure happy to report it. We don’t feel the need to gussy-up our cars, trucks and SUVS, instead opting to simply state the facts and let Houston-area drivers decide for themselves. That’s why we’re excited to report the news regarding the 2015 Nissan Murano safety ratings, recently released by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Let’s look at the graphic to the right for a minute. See anything worth mentioning? Like, I don’t know, maybe the fact that the 2015 Nissan Murano just deastated the entire field of midsize SUVS? Like, maybe that it received the highest-possible rating in every one of the tested categories, which add up to a perfect rating in the incredibly difficult “small oerlap” test. These tests look to predict what happens when a car hits another car or an object like a tree or pole, particularly as it affects the front corners of the vehicle. The reason that these tests are crucial to assessing a vehicle’s safety is because these sorts of crashes are so common. Head-on collisions get much of the press, of course, but they are less common than the diagonal accidents that occur so frequently. That’s why this performance from the 2015 Nissan Murano, in eclipsing the safety of competitors such as the Ford Flex, Hyundai Santa Fe and Jeep Cherokee, is so impressie. It speaks to the real-world iability of the extensie safety implementations that have made the 2015 Nissan Murano so popular. While we’e mentioned the Nissan Safety Shield Technology in this blog several times before, it’s worth noting that the Murano’s great safety rating is no accident, pun intended. The Safety Shield protects, monitors and responds to potential risks, and the result is shown in the graphic seven here: a crossoer SUV that exceeds every expectation when it comes to keeping its passengers safe. Factor in its epic design and welcoming interior cabin, and it becomes apparent why this vehicle is so popular. The 2015 Nissan Murano is now available at Robbins Nissan, and we’d be happy to show all of the ways that its innoatie safety features have changed the game for crossoer SUV drivers.
